Brestir (Trawler)

When Brestir, the trawler from Faroe Island, came to Hirtshals in December 2016 for a planned renovation MarineService was the contract holder for the job.  

During the stay Brestir decided, due to wear, that they also wanted a complete overhaul of the propeller equipment.

Carrying out this repair we used our new welding technique Laser Cladding.

With laser cladding we welded the control and bearing surface on the propeller hub with Stellite 21 and on the propeller shaft we used laser cladding to weld up the inner- and outer chrome liners.

The job was class approved by DNV-GL.
